What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy is a branch of Sports Medicine which specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injury. Sports therapists are highly skilled in using a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation to treat injuries, and to reduce the likelihood of recurrence or future issues. Sports Therapists also use ‘prehabilitation’ as an injury prevention tool, to address any muscular weakness or biomechanical issues that can contribute to your risk of injury.
